Bridge View Resident, John Webster, went to lunch at the McManus Gallery, Dundee’s Museum and Art Gallery, where he enjoyed a guided tour of the building. John is a very talented landscape artist and he knew Macintosh Patrick, one of Scotland’s (and Dundee’s) finest painters. John’s wish was to visit the gallery to enjoy his old friend’s work in all their glory, hanging in the Gallery.

John said; “I’ve had a wonderful time and I am already looking forward to my next ‘wish’.”

John is still active as an artist and lives life to the full, and lives life to the full as a resident at Bridge View House, encouraged and supported by our staff.

Following on from the success of our Wishing Tree activity in January, we have introduced Wishing Tree Wednesday as a weekly event. Every Wednesday afternoon a resident picks a wish from the wishing tree and the wish will be realised. Whether it is going out for lunch, visiting an old friend, enjoying the botanical gardens or a shopping trip. Everyone can join in, have their turn and their wish granted.

The pictures show John in the gallery and picking out next week’s “wisher”.
