Inspection Report August 2018

We are delighted to share our latest Inspection Report with you (opens in a new window).

Here are a few of the comments from residents and their familes:

“I’ve been here a week and it’s brilliant. The food is great and the bed’s comfy We did a lot of puzzles with the activity woman and I liked that. It’s a nice place with plenty of space and I’ve got a lovely big room, with no bad views.”

“It’s good here – the food’s good and the activities are good. I like to spend my time in my room. I come and go as I like but they don’t push me to do everything.”

“I love living here as I’m close to my brother who visits more often now.”

“Mum has been here for eight months. I know a good home when I see one. They phone me right away when there’s a problem. I looked at four other homes before deciding on here and I’ve never regretted it.”

“My Mum’s very well looked after. There’s nothing they could do more for her. She gets her hair done, goes for manicures and is often away on outings.”

“They’re spending quite a bit of money on this place.”

“The manager has relatives meeting on a monthly basis with alternate afternoon and evening times. I try to come along to them all as it’s important we support her, she is trying so hard.”

The Inspection report is so good it has featured in the Evening Post, where they quote the report in their headline, saying that the home’s staff are kind and caring. Of course, we already knew that, but it is nice to be recognised by the community.

Our Latest Inspection Report 2016

Our latest inspection report was carried out, unannounced in March 2016, and we are pleased with the positive feedback from the Inspection. We received good results for all aspects of care, and all that despite the upheaval of the (now completed) building work that was going on.

Operations Director, Jennifer Young said: “We are always striving to improve the quality of care for our residents and look forward to an improving picture of care at Bridge View House. The care home will continue to evolve and improve in the coming months and years. I am proud of our staff and the excellent care they provide.”

Bridge View House provides a small and homely environment. Residents and relatives taking part in this inspection were satisfied with the quality of care provided and made positive comments about the staff providing their care.

This Inspection Report was carried out in February 2015, and we are pleased with the positive feedback from the Inspection. We received good results for all aspects of care.

Operations Director, Jennifer Young said: “These are exciting times for Bridge View House as we grow our service with a new, beautifully built extension which will be ready next year. We continue to strive to improve the facilities and service we provide to residents.”

We found the service to have very good liaison between the staff in the service and a range of healthcare professionals. This ensured the well-being of the residents residing in the home. Residents made positive comments to us about their life in this home.

Inspection Report 2014

Bridge View House’s latest Inspection Report from the Care Inspectorate has been published, and is now available to download. The conclusion of the report is that:

The home is currently operating at a good level. The service has recently appointed a new manager who is still finding her feet within the home (while having a lot of experience within the sector generally). A staff team with low turnover who work well as a team provide good care to residents.
